Operating principle
There are two main types. Volumetric dosing delivers a defined volume using a screw conveyor, piston, pump, buckets, or gravity system, suitable for both powders and liquids. Gravimetric dosing weighs the product using load cells, either continuously (loss-weight) or in batches (weighing hopper), for high accuracy.
Integration
The dosing unit operates as a standalone semi-automatic station or as an integrated module, feeding a filling, bagging, or sealing machine. It is controlled by recipes and can incorporate online weight control.

Volumetric dosing delivers a constant, fast, and economical volume, suitable for homogeneous products. Gravimetric dosing weighs each dose, offering superior accuracy for expensive, dense, or variable-density products.
Which products can be dosed?
Fluid to highly viscous liquids, pasty products, as well as powders, granules and pieces.
What is the difference between a dosing machine and a filling machine?
The dosing machine measures the exact quantity of product; the filling machine introduces it into the final container. The two functions are often combined on the same equipment.
Continuous or batch dosing?
Continuous dosing is suitable for high throughput and regular feeding of a line; batch dosing aims for a precise quantity weighed before transfer.
Can a single dosing machine process multiple products?
