Privacy Policy
In France, personal data is protected by law no. 78-87 of 6 January 1978, law no. 2004-801 of 6 August 2004, article L. 226-13 of the Penal Code and the European Directive of 24 October 1995, or the European regulatory text relating to data protection (GDPR) of 27 April 2016.
As part of its B2B networking activity in the industry, GEPPIA only collects personal information of a professional nature (professional email address, professional telephone number, company, etc.). This data, relating to the user, is collected for the purpose of certain services offered, in particular commercial networking with professionals in the sector (Process and Packaging ecosystem).
The user provides this information when they enter it themselves into a form. The user is then informed whether or not providing this information is mandatory to obtain the information and/or contact service.
Users are advised that their information may be shared with members of the group, listed on the members page, for the purpose of professional networking, if applicable. No information will be shared without the user's explicit consent (checkbox).
Furthermore, for the proper functioning of the site, data not requiring consent, such as user preferences (language, light or dark theme, etc.),
may be collected. This data is processed by the open-source software Matomo, configured in anonymization mode, and is self-hosted in France on a private server at the French hosting provider OVH.

In accordance with Articles 38 et seq. of Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on Data Processing, Data Files and Individual Liberties, all users have the right to access, rectify, and object to the processing of their personal data by submitting a request via our contact form. For further information, please refer to the CNIL website (section "Exercise my rights") to consult and assert your rights.
In accordance with current regulations (Article 30 of the GDPR), GEPPIA maintains a register of its personal data processing activities and undertakes to retain the data of inactive prospects or customers for a maximum of three to five years. For its newsletter, contact details are kept until the subscriber unsubscribes.
