At CFIA, Sleever®, manufacturer of sleeve labels and associated application machines, presented three applications supporting customers in their waste-reduction strategy, one of the pillar of the 3R approach:
1 – Remove the caps with the sleeve label that secures and decorates your bottles.
Featuring a cleverly designed pre-cut, the SLEEVERCAP® eliminates the need for a cap and allows the bottle to be opened in a single motion. Adopting this solution results in a reduction of over 10% in material used in the final product.
2 – Lower carbon footprint and industrial performance up to 1100 cpm!
The new COMBISTEAM® LWPET allows for the application of 20 µm sleeves to HDPE packaging. A world first, resulting in a 50% material saving and a 60% reduction in energy consumption. All this with an efficiency of 98% at 1100 cycles per minute (cpm).
3 – First TÜV Home Compost-certified biodegradable tamper indicator
The SeelCap® ONEGO, developed in partnership with CARBIOS, reduces the carbon footprint by up to 70% and improves circularity. Its unique design allows for removal in one piece upon opening and reduces the risk of environmental waste.
