Up to four PCB modules can be connected per SFB – each of which can connect additional digital I/O components. The result: maximum flexibility for customized automation applications.
A key advantage of the SFB port extension is the ability to connect a greater number of unsecured switching devices to the SFB. These devices can be easily connected and evaluated via the three supported fieldbus protocols – ideal for heterogeneous system environments. Power is supplied directly through the SFB connection, reducing installation costs and simplifying system integration.
