ANEOLIA 's initial innovation consisted of measuring gas concentrations based on their viscosity and thermal conductivity properties. Applied to gases such as CO2 or Argon, or binary mixtures of these gases, the invention allows analysis to be performed in milliseconds after the fluid transfer from the sample to the sensor elements. This is incomparably faster than ordinary non-dispersive infrared spectrometry measurement techniques, approximately 3000 times faster.
This innovative technology relies on the ability to discriminate between orifice or defect sizes of a few micrometers in diameter using thermally conductive mass flow meters. By controlling the pneumatic distribution of the fluid, the instrument achieves an unparalleled processing capability with a possible numerical resolution of 0.5 micrometers. When a gas of interest passes through the orifice, the difference in the calculated orifice size determines the gas concentration.
But that's not all!
By solving the technical problems of a small internal volume for gas analysis, and of free pneumatic passage to obtain the best leak measurement sensitivity, the combination of the two solutions in a single reversible flow instrumentation (in suction and blowing), makes it possible to solve problems encountered in packaging of different dimensions, and to carry out precise analyses in record times, whose performance is unrivaled, and finally recognized by the granting of international patents, including recently in the United States in January 2024.
This is a new step towards developing a scientific reference instrumentation for the food packaging industry, France's leading industry, and offering a considerable advance in optimizing packaging processes to better protect contents, consumers, and manufacturers' brands.
