MY-CAP 500: The capping machine that combines energy efficiency and operational agility

Faced with the challenges of decarbonization and optimizing production costs, equipment manufacturers are redoubling their ingenuity. A closer look at the MY-CAP 500 from Massilly, a new generation inline capping machine that is shaking up the glass canning industry by halving its steam consumption.

In the aisles of trade shows, the MY-CAP 500 from Massilly will not go unnoticed. Designed to meet the safety, hygiene, and flexibility requirements of food processing companies, this machine offers an innovative approach to capping. Its promise? To reduce the environmental footprint without sacrificing speed or the safety of the capping process.

An energy revolution: -50% steam

The heart of the innovation lies in its patented steam circuit. Where conventional systems consume an average of 50 kg/h of steam, the MY-CAP 500 manages to reduce this to 25 kg/h. This feat is made possible by intelligent flow optimization: steam injection is modulated according to the actual passage of the jars.

This reasoned management not only allows a drastic reduction in consumption, but also a reduction in the amount of steam extracted in the workshop and a decrease in the noise level below 80dB.

Ergonomics in the service of productivity

The MY-CAP 500's design was conceived to minimize machine downtime, a key factor in profitability. Operators benefit from two large openings (front/rear) for complete access during cleaning or maintenance.

Agility is the second pillar of this machine:

  • Ultra-fast format change : Thanks to the instant connection of the capsule head to the steam network and an intuitive manual adjustment system for spacing and height, the format change takes place in less than 5 minutes.
  • Rapid maintenance : Replacing wear parts has been simplified to be done in less than 4 minutes.
  • Integrated capsule loading : The capsule elevator is integrated directly into the lower part of the chassis. This design choice frees up floor space and allows for ergonomic loading at a convenient height (capacity of 1.5 to 2 cartons). Capsules can be loaded from both sides.

Safety and compliance: no compromise

In terms of components, the machine prioritizes robustness and a capsule-gripping head that guarantees perfect precision for steam injection. To meet the strictest HACCP standards, all plastic components are blue for easy visual detection.
Fully enclosed and inspected by an independent body for CE conformity, the MY-CAP 500 stands out as a safe, durable, and extremely cost-effective solution for modern packaging lines.
